DO Wallet Review

DO wallet is a multicurrency wallet that supports some use cases like buying gift cards, exchange options, and crypto-related news.

Design

The app has chosen to use a business-like blue as its main color throughout the app. The first thing you see when opening the app is the login page which looks like quite the mess. There are price chards of cryptocurrencies, terms of use, privacy policy, and different options to log in or take a tour. So after you logged in to the app you will have access to four different pages. Your balance/wallet, markets, news, and calculator page. All pages are styled in the same fashion as the opening of the app. Which is a classic business blue with a very messy design.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) DO wallet offers the following.

  • Linking wallet to some exchanges
  • Market watch
  • Crypto-related news tap
  • Fiat to crypto calculator
  • Fingerprint login
  • Purchases of gift cards

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Segwit support

Con’s

  • Messy design

(Makes it difficult to understand, especially for starters)

  • Having to login with email
  • Not beginner-friendly

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, DO mobile wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that we point out are of course based on my personal opinion and we would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

Do wallets, like some other wallets give you the option to create a Bitcoin (legacy) wallet or a Bitcoin Segwit wallet. This can be very confusing especially for starting users that have no idea what the difference between the two is.  But it would be great if they just gave the option to create a Bitcoin wallet and nothing more (preferably that this “bitcoin wallet” is a Segwit wallet for cheaper transactions). Like mentioned before, the design of the app is very messy and a cleaner design would greatly increase the user-friendliness of the app and the approach of new users.

Conclusion

The Wallet may be the right one for some more advanced traders that like the market and exchange functions within the app. But for most day-to-day users and/or starters this app would be too much and we wouldn’t recommend this to be your first wallet if you’re new to crypto. That being said the wallet scores a 2.3 out of 5 stars.

Bitcoin (developers) Wallet Review

The Bitcoin wallet is the first mobile wallet for Bitcoin created, and is around since 2011. Their focus lies solely on Bitcoin and is already downloaded more than 5 million times from the Google Playstore.

Design

At first sight, I wasn’t a big fan of the design of the Bitcoin wallet, the design looks a bit chunky. Although it doesn’t really draw any feelings of excitement from you. But it does give you an easy feel of calm and clearness throughout the app. Looking at the main page (transaction page) the app does give you a messy look by showing the public key of that transaction. I think this is an unnecessary thing to add to the transaction overview. Because (almost) no one really remembers any public or private keys.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the Bitcoin wallet offers the following.

  • Sweeping of paper wallets
  • When you’re offline, you can still pay via Bluetooth
  • Address book

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Address book
  • Trusted and tested Bitcoin wallet
  • Lets you display the amount of Bitcoin in BTC, mBTC and µBTC

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat
  • Messy transaction page by showing all public keys

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The bitcoin wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion. And I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

The Bitcoin wallet does have a lot of nice features and is easy to use so the improvements I see are mainly focused on the design and sidechains. The app could for example try to make use of a less square-based design and a more recognizable collar pattern. Because this is one of the most downloaded bitcoin wallets I would also love to see the integration of Layer 2 solutions to the Bitcoin network like Lightning, Liquid, or Omni supported addresses and conversions to those networks.

Conclusion

The Bitcoin wallet is a good working solid Bitcoin wallet. Although the design may need some work the way the wallet functions and its features do most definitely make up for that. When/if The Bitcoin wallet will implement layer 2 solutions within the app it would make a great mobile wallet. But for now, it is still a very good wallet so it scores a 3 out of 5 stars.

UNSTOPPABLE Wallet Review

The UNSTOPPABLE mobile wallet is a digital wallet designed to store, send and receive Bitcoin. The UNSTOPPABLE mobile wallet is built with the focus on security and independence from governments or central bank-owned controlled currency systems thus the name UNSTOPPABLE Wallet.

Design

The UNSTOPPABLE mobile wallet sparks excitement through its use of colors. Which is very nice to the eyes and has a clear transaction and balance page. They also give you the option to use the app in light or dark mode. Which we know almost everyone loves to see. The wallet supports a lot of coins and tokens which is very nice but it can also bring a bit of a mess with it when it comes to the balance page. When you only turn on a few tokens/coins this shouldn’t be an issue but when you use a lot of them it can turn a bit into a mess.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the UNSTOPPABLE wallet offers the following.

  • Fingerprint security
  • Light and dark mode
  • Using Tor

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Light and dark mode
  • Fingerprint security

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat
  • Being able to add an existing EOS wallet but not Creating a new one

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The UNSTOPPABLE mobile wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that we point out are of course based on our personal opinion and we would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

Like we always miss in many wallets that have a good overall look and function almost always perfect, we really miss a contact list. This would greatly help for the use case of peer-to-peer trade and sending payment requests. The large amount of tokens that are accessible within the app is great. But it would be even better to see the option to keep them separated in another page or side token wallet. This is so that you don’t have your tokens in your face every time that you try to use your money (bitcoin) or vise versa.

Conclusion

The wallet has a very nice look and does a great job at the functions that it provides. There is still room for more new things to add to the wallet and with time we hope to see them add more functions and till then it is perfect for the everyday crypto user that knows what they are doing. Overall, the UNSTOPPABLE mobile wallet scores a solid 3.9 out of 5.0 stars.

Polehin.com Wallet Review

The Polehin.com Bitcoin wallet is made with a focus on security, speed, and convenience. The wallet supports multiple different cryptocurrencies, ERC-20 tokens, and exchange options between them.

Design

So for their design, polehin.com used a classic business blue styling. This gives the whole wallet a more serious and business-like feeling. When opening the app you will land right on the wallet page. Which only shows you one cryptocurrency/token at a time. This gives you a nice and clear view of the wallet. But it would be nice to also have the option to look at more than one wallet at a time (if that is perverted). On the second tap, we have a price and news page.

For those that are following markets, this can be a useful tap. But for those like myself that are only interested in storing and using their crypto, it can be a bit of an annoyance as you can’t remove this tap. As a third and fourth tap you have a referral tap and a settings tap. But in our opinion, this could be blended into the same tap. Because a referral program is not that interesting for the average user of cryptocurrencies.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the Polehin.com Bitcoin wallet offers the following.

  • Fingerprint security
  • In-app exchange
  • Prices and news page

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Dynamic addresses

(your wallet address will change after each incoming transaction, BTC only)

  • Fingerprint security

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat
  • Having a referral tap in the main menu

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The Polehin.com mobile wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

As noted in the design column, I would like to see the invite tap and the settings tap bled together so that there will be a more clear bottom menu in the app. It would also be great to see the option to really construct your own crypto wallet by selecting some cryptos that you want to display in the wallet tap, instead of having to switch from one crypto to another one at the time.

Conclusion

The wallet has a serious look to it and functions very well. If you are a trader or speculator of markets this wallet will definitely offer you some features that you would like (news and prices tap). For people that want to only store and use their crypto, I think the wallet is not that great but still scores a good 3.4 out of 5 stars as it functions more than fine.

*Warning: We have received multiple notifications from community members that have withdrawal problems with Coinpal wallet. Our review below focuses on the wallet design. If you intend to use this wallet please do some extra research about its safety and or withdrawal possibilities!*

Coinpal is a free and easy wallet for bitcoin & bitcoin cash with a fun and friendly look for starters. They made their own version of the classic bitcoin logo which makes you happy to look at.

Design

Coinpal is styled with a nice, exciting, and friendly orange look. Upon opening the app you will get a small introduction that explains a little bit about the setup etc. which is great for new users. The wallet uses the following 5 different taps, home page (which shows your wallets), receive, scan, send, and settings page. All pages are in the orange and white color theme and are easy to understand. On the settings page, you will also find some extra features that can be useful + a support service for users.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) Coinpal offers the following.

  • Address book
  • Bitcoin network fee adjuster

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Address book
  • Simple in its use

Con’s

  • Always shows the number of sats in a fiat currency as well

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, Coinpal has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

Coinpal is a nice crypto wallet but could use some improvements when it comes to features. The best and most logical feature would of course be the support of Bitcoin sidechain within the app so that users can cheaply spend their Bitcoin for day-to-day purchases.

Conclusion

So Coinpal is a fine crypto wallet for the use of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. With a simple and user-friendly look, the wallet can be a nice starter wallet. But would likely be in need of sidechain support in the future. Coinpal scores a good 3.7 out of 5 stars.

Our Review

PTP Wallet Review

PTPWallet is an advanced crypto wallet with multiple cryptocurrencies listed on it. With a focus on incentives within the app to promote the use of the app and cryptocurrencies overall.

Design

Upon opening the app you will have to set up your wallet with a security code and agreeing to some terms. After that, you will land on the first page within the app which is the wallets page where you can see the different currency wallets and create new ones. The menu consists of 11 pages within the app they are the following, Wallets, Market, Referral, Loyalty, iTransfer, Deals, Settings, Help & Support, KYC, Payment Gateway, and Terms. The number of pages within the apps menu and the fact that it is very difficult (impossible) to remove an (empty) wallet from the wallet page together with the green styling make the app look very messy.

You will find these same Messines on almost every page and on some pages you will even find some extra menus. Besides the non-user-friendliness of the app, it does give some extra functions besides sending and receiving which is nice.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the PTPWallet offers the following.

  • Deals page which helps you find a place to spend crypto
  • Cashback program for crypto users
  • Prices page
  • Sending funds by email or SMS

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Deals page which helps you find a place to spend crypto

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat
  • Having a referral tap in the main menu
  • Complete mess in the styling of the app
  • Being able to create new wallets but not remove them
  • Very confusing referral program

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The PTP Wallet mobile wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

PTP Wallet can improve a lot from where they are right now in terms of design. A focus more based on the adoption of first-time users within the space would be nice to see. Sidechain support together with an address book would also boost its usability by a long shot and would make it more compatible with the other wallets in the space.

Conclusion

The wallet has a bad user interface and needs a lot of work on that. It does support some features that are nice to see but I would not download it only for that. As long as the app is like it is today I would highly discourage you to download it. And that’s why it scores a 1.6 out of 5 stars.

We hope you enjoyed our PTP Wallet review. In case you do not agree with our opinion? You can write your own PTP wallet review here! And also check out what other people think about the PTP wallet.

Our Review

Bitcoin.com Wallet Review

The Bitcoin.com wallet is a wallet for Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash with the focus of making Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash easy to use. They support multiple features but are mainly focused on the use of Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Design

The design looks very nice and with a light greenish look, it gives you a very friendly feeling from the start. When opening the app you will get a nice and clear overview. The menu consists of the wallet page, a discovery page (for news and some extra services), and a setting page (which offers some extra functions). On the wallet page, you have the option to add/remove wallets as you may please. But it does not fill the page with your previous transactions (these are shown if you press one of the specific wallets).

  • Instant payments for Bitcoin Cash
  • Sweeping paper wallets
  • BTC Network fee adjuster
  • Address book
  • Crypto news
  • Fingerprint security

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Clean and friendly design
  • Address book

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The Bitcoin.com wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion. So I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

The wallet has a lot of nice things built into it. But could improve their use if they would add one or more side-chains to the app so that people can use both networks for a cheaper price. Like with many other wallets the bitcoin.com wallet also shows the price of the coins to fiat on the wallet page together with the percentage up or down in the last 24 hours. So it would be nice to see this removed as Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash does not exist to be compared next to Fiat currencies.

Conclusion

The wallet has a great design and a lot of great functions (for Bitcoin Cash mostly). But if you are a user of Bitcoin Cash this wallet is most definitely one of the best around. But if you only use Bitcoin this wallet may be lacking a bit for you. Overall the wallet looks really nice and as bitcoin.com has a more focus on Bitcoin Cash I will rate it as Bitcoin Cash wallet. because of this will leave them on a very good score of 4.6 out of 5 stars.

Electroneum Wallet Review

The Electroneum mobile wallet is a digital wallet designed to store the Electroneum (ETN) cryptocurrency. The Electroneum mobile wallet is designed and built by the same team that developed the Electroneum blockchain. So you could say that this wallet is the official mobile wallet of Electroneum.

Design

The app, like the cryptocurrency, was developed with the focus on mass adoption of the cryptocurrency Electroneum (ETN). So to reach this they put a big focus on the design and user-friendliness of the app. You will see this aim at mass adoption inside of the app in multiple forms, because of their simple design of the app and the built-in buttons to their Online task platform (anytask) and the ETNeverywhere page, which helps businesses accept the Electroneum currency. So the app has a nice and simple user interface all teamed in the Electroneum color blue that you will find everywhere around the Electroneum ecosystem.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the Electroneum app offers the following.

  • Mobile top-ups for almost every country in the world

This gives you an option to use your Electroneum in the real world from inside of the app.

  • Value calculator from Electroneum to your preferred fiat

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • User friendly
  • Offers real-world use cases through mobile top-ups with Electroneum
  • Shows the wallet balance in its own currency and not in a fiat currency

Con’s

  • Does not give a lot of specific settings to adjust the wallet to personal preference
  • Does not offer any form of 2FA
  • The notifications page gives you notifications when the wallet refreshes and there is no way to turn this off

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, the Electroneum mobile wallet has flaws. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

Although focused on design and user-friendliness, they could still use some more simplicity inside of their app. Because the wallet is really easy to understand and I think a child would be able to master it in a matter of minutes but the placement of functions inside of the app could use a little more clarity when we look at the navigation through the app. Because the more page for example includes a wide range of options and functions that are not all that related to each other.

Conclusion

This wallet is user-friendly, easy to use and a great wallet to start with for new and old users of the Electroneum currency. But the wallet does lack in functions and could improve greatly by adding more options to personalize the app. So overall, the Electroneum mobile wallet scores a decent 3.8 out of 5.0 stars.

Blue Wallet Review

Blue wallet is a Bitcoin wallet focused on making Bitcoin fun and usable. The wallet supports Bitcoin wallets that use SegWit and Bitcoin lightning wallets for cheap/free transactions.

Design

The wallet has a really nice and clean design that is not too confusing for a beginning user. The minimalist style that Blue wallet has chosen makes it so that there are only two pages within the app, the wallets page and a settings page. The wallets page shows your wallets and their balances, the transactions (including unconfirmed transactions) and a button to Local trader which is a P2P bitcoin marketplace. On the settings page you find the normal settings that you would expect to be there like security, language, etc. there is however an advanced mode function that you can find under general. I highly advise you only use this when you possess more technical knowledge about Bitcoin and the lightning network.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) Blue wallet offers the following.

  • Instant and cheap payments with the lightning network
  • Advanced mode for experienced users
  • BTC Network fee adjuster
  • Fingerprint security

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Use of SegWit
  • Lightning network integration
  • Shows your Bitcoin in BTC and/or sats instead of fiat.

Con’s

  • Transactions of all wallets are displayed on the wallets page.

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, Blue wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

The Blue wallet looks great and is simple in its use, but like everything, it could use some improvements. So would it be nice to see the transactions only when you go to a selected wallet instead of showing the transactions of all wallet on the main page. I would also love to see an address book for users so that it will become easier to pay friends and transfer money to them.

Conclusion

The Blue wallet is a great wallet with the implementation of SegWit and lightning of which both I am a big fan of. The styling and the focus of Blue wallet is very good but could use a little bit of fine-tuning. Overall the wallet performs exactly like it should and I will be using it more in the future. So it scores a whopping 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Green Wallet Review

The Blockstream Green mobile wallet is built by Blockstream the company that also constructed the Liquid sidechain which is supported from within the wallet. The wallet is a digital wallet designed to store, send and receive Bitcoin.

Design

The mobile wallet is nicely themed in the classic black and green Blockstream colors. As you open the app you will learn quickly how to use it and what functions it possesses through its clean design. So will the opening page after unlocking the app just be the sending and receiving page. This gives you a nice and simplistic view of your account balance. Besides the non-user-friendly features of the Bitcoin blockchain and Liquid sidechain, any user should be able to understand how to use the wallet in seconds.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) the Blockstream Green wallet offers the following.

  • Allows you to make use of the Liquid sidechain
  • Can connect to your hardware wallet

Pros and Cons

Pro’s

  • Simple and clean design
  • Strong security
  • Liquid sidechain support

Con’s

  • Always shows how much your Bitcoin is worth in fiat
  • You have to log in again to switch to your Liquid account on the same wallet

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, The Blockstream Green mobile wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that I point out are of course based on my personal opinion and I would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

Being one of the first wallets to use the Liquid sidechain it would be great to see a function within the app that would let you convert your BTC to L-BTC, this so that you can fully use the Liquid network from inside of the wallet. Although the functions of sending and receiving work perfectly it would be nice to see something like a payment request function and/or a contract book in which you could add friends and family to whom you want to send some

Conclusion

The wallet is an easy to use and simple clean designed wallet for the use of Bitcoin. It also offers sidechain support which is a great plus. The wallet functions perfectly how it is supposed to but could use some more extra functions. Overall,  the Blockstream Green mobile wallet scores a good 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.
